Each of the models can be custom programmed to your schedule of choice using the Run-Chicken App, or can be left on the default factory setting to open and close with the rising and setting of the sun.
The Run-Chicken door operates using a self-locking direct-drive gear opener for increased security and low maintenance. The door opens to an 8″ X 10″ opening, giving your hens plenty of room to slip through while maintaining a sleek profile. All doors are shipped with original Run-Chicken packaging, hardware and instruction manuals.
Powered by 2-AA batteries (included), the T50 runs for about a year between battery replacements.
As its name indicates, the integrated solar panel of the Eternal ensures that your door stays fully charged for years.
The Eternal+ features an added 6′ solar cable, allowing you to position your solar panel to catch maximum sunlight and keep your door fully charged.

Brad –
Run-Chicken Eternal for the win! Was a plug and play add on we are very happy with! You can manually open each day and close with a click of a button or customize timing in the app that was user friendly. Would recommend 10/10 to make your lives easier. Built in solar charging makes this an easy decision.
Miriam Iwashige –
We have two automatic chicken coop doors, but only one Run-Chicken Automatic Coop Door. Even before either one was installed, the difference in quality was easy to see and feel. The Run-Chicken door is much heavier and more durably constructed. I recommend this for anyone who wishes to let their chickens range free for a part of each day. The doors can be set to open and close “by the clock” so the chickens can be safely protected for the night without your having the chore of penning them inside the chicken tractor. We like keeping our chickens penned up until the egg laying for the day has been finished. Then, after the door opens, they can safely range free for the rest of the day. At dusk they instinctively head home to roost–after which the door automatically closes for the night.
