WHAT SETS US APART FROM THE OTHERS
Our sleek original designs give you everything you need for a secure convenient backyard operation.
EZ-lift system for easy movement—The Egg Cart’n Classic raises onto four wheels, latches in place, and rolls easily over grass. The EZ-lift system sets the Egg Cart’n apart from other chicken tractors of similar size. Foam-filled tires ensure you’ll never have a flat.
The ramp can be raised for protection from night predators, lowered for grazing access, and removed for cleaning. The perforated floor allows for easy cleanup.
The double nest box provides a convenient place for the chickens to lay their eggs, and for you to collect them. The round openings encourage the chickens not to spend unnecessary time there.
Easily retrieve your eggs from nesting boxes through the sliding door.
The roost provides comfort and safety for your backyard chicken.
The feeder and watering bucket hang conveniently from the dedicated hanging brackets.
The sliding gate allows the chickens to enjoy free-range access to your yard, whenever you wish for it.
The included corrugated plastic skirting can be snapped on to protect chickens during cold weather.

The Egg Cart’n is ingeniously designed to make watering and feeding convenient and stress-free. The Egg Cart’n includes two brackets on the ceiling —one for hanging the included feeder and the other for hanging the included watering bucket.
Our favorite bedding to use in these nest boxes is unscented kitty litter. It helps dry up moisture, and its texture deters chickens from playing in it as much as they would in straw. Straw and grass clippings also work well.
The Egg Cart’n is designed to be suitable in virtually any climate. Chickens can survive heat if they have enough water and ventilation. However, if you live in a cold climate, you will need to be more proactive. With all the panels installed, chickens should be fine in below-freezing temperatures. It can help to move the Egg Cart’n behind a windbreak if it is frigid and windy. In freezing northern climates, some supplemental heat may be needed. Alternatively, you can move your chicken tractor into a garage or shed during the coldest part of the winter.
The Egg Cart’n includes a perforated floor that cuts down the number of times cleaning is needed. However, every month or two, you may need to scrape out residual droppings that have built up over time. It is also essential to clean and disinfect the tractor between flocks. You can easily do this with a hose and brush.
Yes. People have used the Egg Cart’n for rabbits and puppies, and it would probably work for other small animals.
We’ve specially-selected 10-millimeter corrugated plastic for a sturdy and lightweight material, including a UV inhibitor to retard breakdown in sunlight.
Shipping takes about four to seven business days for most locations, and is free in the continental United States.
No. The Egg Cart’n is designed to be stress-free and lightweight for ease of transport. This is made possible because of the aluminum frames, making the Egg Cart’n lighter than it looks. The wheels also aid in this process by being big enough to roll over grass easily.
We recommend the daily move for full-sized flocks of eight to ten chickens. However, the frequency of moving depends on how many chickens are in the tractor and the quality of the turf they are grazing. The more chickens there are per square foot, the more often the pen will need to be moved to prevent damage to the turf.
Nearly. It is predator-resistant, meaning it is resistant to predators, but it takes some proactivity on your part. The daily move and locking the chickens upstairs at night by raising the ramp makes it virtually impossible for small predators to attack the chickens. Snakes could be an issue in some locations, and bears could be an issue in others, but we have been well pleased with the predator protection the Egg Cart’n provides.
